Boston College commit. Ranked No. 49 in the state of Illinois. A top 10 shortstop in the senior class. Athletic, long-limb 6-foot-3 frame, lean 175-pounds left-handed hitting shortstop. Bats in the fifth hole and had two hits in the game against New Trier. A simple, balanced setup, open stance, hands held low with a vertical bat, minimal pre-pitch movement, slow, controlled load to a short stride. Quick hands, repeatable swing, balanced throughout contact, gets extended, spray hitter to all fields. First at-bat sat back on an inside pitch to shoot it the other way. Over at shortstop, smooth actions with full range to both sides. Clean transfer with soft hand. Throws play accurately across the diamond.
Recent Boston College commit. Has emerged this spring as a high-follow left-handed bat in the 2022 class. 6-foot-3, 175-pound, left-handed hitting shortstop; highly-athletic, projectable build. Has been leaving the yard with regularity this spring. Hit in the two-hole and played shortstop for Glenbrook South. Finished 3-for-3 with two doubles, four RBIs and scored two runs. Long, loose levers creates easy whip in the swing and jump off the barrel. Hands set low, works uphill, natural lift, stays inside and can drive the ball to the opposite gap with authority. Quiet, simple approach, feel for the barrel and understands the strike zone. Defensively, steady defender, accurate arm at shortstop; frame and footspeed will likely profile him elsewhere at the next level. Impressive look at a 2022 left-handed hitter on the rise.
