Amaro made a big impact in his first varsity season. Not only did he anchor the outfield defense, the right-handed hitter tallied 40 hits, which tied for second on the Wildcats’ 25-win club. He finished with a .396 batting average, 16 RBI and 1 home run. Amaro committed to Purdue in the fall of his junior year.
