Possessing a slim 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame with a long lower half, Graydon Leonard dominated on the bump against the Illinois Gators. The righty threw five innings only allowing one run and three hits while striking out five. Mechanically, Leonard is tall on the mound with a medium leg kick and long stride striding toward the right-handed batter’s box. He throws with a 3/4 arm slot. Leonard’s loose mechanics make his pitching look effortless. He displays a 78-80 mph fastball which topped 82, with the ability to hit all the corners in addition to a 65-67 mph curveball. In addition to pitching, Leonard is impressive at the plate too. With loose mechanics that make his swing look effortless, Leonard keeps all his weight on his back leg displaying a long stride and quick hands that drive through the ball.
