An athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, Palumbo (Carl Sandberg, 2025) was solid on the mound for the Rhino’s first game Saturday. In three innings of work, he struck out three. The right-handed pitcher had his fastball sitting 83-84 mph, with a curveball sitting 75-78 mph. Palumbo had control of both pitches, getting ahead in counts. His curveball paired well with a lively fastball that generated soft contact and whiffs. With a fluid and repeatable motion Palumbo will be a name to watch this summer.
