Lake Land Scout Day: Six-foot-8 right-hander with a compact arm path to a H3/4 release point (nearly 7'). Got off-line at times with delivery, but repeated it well overall, especially for his height. Worked fastball in the 85-86 mph range, while showing a good feel to subtract with a 73-77 low-spin changeup with plus arm side life. Fair feel for 73-74 mph curve as his third pitch.
Verbally committed to Lake Land JC.
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-foot-8, 240-pounds. Extra-large, imposing, physically-advanced frame.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, directional and lands square. Repeats delivery well for his size, gets minimal use out of his lower half.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 83-85 mph. Extreme downhill tilt at times, late running action, thrown for strikes.
CB: 70-72 mph. Maintains arm speed, 11/5 shape, flashed sharp spin and bite.
CH: 75-77 mph. Tilt at the bottom of the zone.
