Quick tempo worker, lifts to an athletic posture at balance point, simple tall/fall type delivery, level shoulders throughout. Strides in line to target, rotates over his front foot at release. Controlled throughout, doesn’t exert much effort on the mound. Short arm action, stays tight on the backside and finishes from a loose high ¾ slot with arm speed out front. Ran his fastball up to 88 early, sitting 84-87 mph throughout, with occasional cut to it. More velocity to come down the road. Sharp spin and depth off an 11/5 plane to his slider at 74-76 mph, confident to throw it in all counts. Advanced feel to land it for strikes while also getting whiffs. An on-the-rise junior that’s still on the market who’s having a productive spring on the mound - 22 innings pitched, 0.95 ERA, 44 strikeouts to just four walks.
