3.30.15 - 6-foot-6, 240-pound hulking RHP, wide shoulders, advanced physical frame, could end up holding 25-30 more pounds comfortably in baseball (also a standout defensive end in football), ranked No. 92 in Illinois’ 2016 class. Galindo sat 82-85 mph throughout his outing (37 degrees at game time). Threw four innings allowing two hits, five strikeouts, and four walks. Long, loose, high ¾ arm slot, uphill shoulders. Rocking back over the rubber at balance point, elevating shoulders, something new delivery wise that is paying off with better feel for the strikezone. In February, breaking ball was more of a curveball in the 72-75 mph range. Learned a slider recently, thrown hard, 78-80 mph range, cutter look at times, but occasional depth on the pitch. Galindo also is a force at the plate, hits from a wide base, front toe turned in, coils hips, ceiling for power potential is high, thanks to raw strength. Line shot single off first baseman’s glove in first at bat, lined out hard to left field in second at bat. Legitimate two-way potential, raw arm strength and power.
2.15.15 - 6-foot-6, 240-pound strong and athletic right-handed hitting OF/RHP, wide shoulders, physical specimen. Impressed with raw power potential at the plate, and power arm on the mound. Fastball sat 84-85 mph, but touched 89, struggled to throw strikes consistently. Long, loose, high ¾ arm slot, regular effort in delivery, lands square in line with home plate, but falls off towards first base side. Breaking ball showed sweeping 11/5 shape, 72-75 mph. Pushes 73-75 mph changeup at times. At the plate, hits from a closed setup, hands load back, short stride, long swing, gets extension, plus strength and power at impact. Showed power, especially to left-center/his pull side, advanced bat speed, 94 mph exit velocity. Defensively, arm action looked looser in the outfield, 89 mph from a crowhop with carry and some accuracy. Galindo is also a football prospect, and although he may be raw, has tantalizing power at the plate, and a power arm on the mound if he can repeat his delivery more effectively.
1.19.14 - 6-foot-6, 220-pound two-way player, advanced frame, broad shoulders, partially filled out. Galindo has a big arm making it hard not to project him on the mound. His delivery lacks some timing but arm is quick and long, working out of a ¾ arm slot. Fastball showed run, topped out at 88 mph, sat between 83-85 mph. Curveball shows sweeping action on 11/5 plane, flat action, 68-70 mph, could be better suited for a slider. Changeup sits 70-72 mph, touched 76, down in the zone, little action. Offensively hits out of a slightly crouched setup. Bat shows power, likes to lift the baseball, posted 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively plays with a long arm action from a ¾ slot, similar to that on the mound. Fields the ball deep with slight hesitations, 7.26 runner in the 60.
7/23/13 - Strong, projectable 6-foot-5, 215-pound raw two-way player. His arm plays at 84 mph from the outfield and displayed solid in-game defensive abilities, showing off some range and athleticism. Recorded a pair of hard hits through two games at the event (one triple). He showed juice in his bat in-game and during BP but could improve consistency. Galindo ran a 4.54 home-to-first. Drop-and-drive delivery on the mound, landing open releasing from a high ¾ angle. His fastball flashed occasional sink and run ranging 77-83 mph. Gradual break on his 11/5 curveball at 64-68 mph. He could become more effective with his backside coming through. Overall Galindo is a raw athlete and a prospect to follow.
6.12.13 - Galindo has the chance to be a high level prospect going forward.  The projectable, 6-foot-5, 215-pound right-handed hitting and throwing two way player performed well in each aspect of the showcase.   On the mound he showed repeatable mechanics – works with direction and a balanced finish.  Throws with quick arm speed from a high ¾ slot.  Fastball has life thrown at 82-83 mph with hard run and sink topping out at 84 mph.  Curveball has bite with sharp 11/5 break around 68-70 mph.  Changeup sits 71-72 mph with sink.  Defensively showed off an advanced arm from the outfield at 82 mph with life.  Hits from a wide setup at the plate with minimal load and no stride.  Produced above average bat speed with pop,  the ball jumps off his bat with full extension.  Recorded an 83 mph exit speed off the tee.  Hitting needs some refinement to make him a dangerous hitter moving forward.  Ran a 7.25 60 that will improve with age.  Galindo is a highly projectable two-way player.
