Roberson showed out for our scouts at Prep Baseball Georgia back at South Georgia Preseason ID in January, and looked explosive again this weekend in-game. The sophomore shows present plus bat speed in all counts with raw power to all-fields. Roberson just missed on a couple fly-balls early, before finding a line-drive barrel to the backside that ricocheted off of the shortstop for a knock. Impressive range at both third and in centerfield with good lateral movements and present arm strength. One of the most tooled up players in Georgia’s 2026 class.

Uncommitted. 6-foot, 155 pounds. Roberson first got onto our radar last summer with 5 Star, as he absolutely raked in one of our 15U tournaments. This was my 1st extended look on him, and although It wasn’t his best performance numbers wise I came away very impressed. He has an intense focus at the plate and his takes are aggressive yet controlled. The hitting eye is very impressive, and he has a distinct plan of what he’s doing at the plate. The swing mechanics are incredibly advanced for his age, and so is the bat speed well before reaching his eventual physical ceiling. He barreled a ball about 300 feet into the sky, showing some serious raw power that you wouldn’t expect to see in his frame. Roberson also laid down a perfect bunt, running a plus time down the line. Like I said in the tweet below, him being the leadoff hitter for one of the best teams in the state should tell you all you need to know. We look forward to tracking Wessley this summer as a very serious high follow!
