Wofford Commit. 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Things didn’t go his way in the game, but his actions and 5 tool potential catch my eye every time I see him. It started in warmups when Bak threw an absolute seed, a dead strike from mid CF to home on a line. While not every throw he makes shows a plus arm, this throw definitely did. When he controls his body and times up the release, the arm plus nearly every time. As it typically takes a college coaching staff a year to fully trust freshman bats, Wofford will benefit immediately from Tyler’s 3 tools that play every day (speed, glove, arm) and those big time tools will get him many more AB's in year 1 because of it. Although he didn't barrel one of the best FB’s in the state (Lambert), he had several pitches that he just missed. One was a skied fly out and a couple were fouled straight back. He didn’t have any issues with timing and surely was looking to do damage with no fear. We feel very good about Bak’s future in the game, and he’s a huge asset to the NG pitching staff.
