3/11/24
Utilizing a quiet setup from the right-side, the uncommitted junior has been a walking base hit so far this spring. Advanced pitch recognition and quality bat-to-ball skills allow for Morneau to hunt his pitch and find consistent impact throughout the zone. Smoked a loud double to dead center field as well as firing the first pitch he sees next at-bat for a backside single. Very hitterish look for the outfielder.
5/25/22

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11 155-pounds. Morneau has some of the most consistent at bats of the day. He barreled up 90+ multiple times with one resulting in a back side single. The bat speed is what does the work for Morneau. He starts slightly open and keeps his hands quiet in the load, and then drives through the ball with a level bat in the zone. He moves really well, and has been reliable for Pope in the outfield. He gets down the line quickly, and also has the ability to steal bags. The stride in the swing is very simple, and keeps him on time no matter the velocity.  After seeing his at bats against a potential draft prospect he is going to be one to see this summer.
