Uncommitted. 6-foot 183-pounds. Pure competitor. People’s was ready to step up with their season on the line. He made quick work of the Cartersville hitters that put up 11 runs in game 1. He did not allow a hit until the 4th inning. His fastball had life all night settling in around 86, but ran it up to 88 a number of times. His curveball/fastball combo was giving the hitters trouble. He keeps both pitches out of the same arm slot, and makes it tough for hitters to recognize. He produced a ton of swing and miss with the curveball at 71-73. Jase’s arm is really strong, and has room to add velo in the future. The small pause in the delivery also messed with hitters' timing. People’s is one of the top names in the ‘24 class that is still uncommitted and can have a huge 2 way impact at the next level.

6-foot 200 pounds. Peoples had the biggest night at the plate with a double, homerun, and a single that loaded the bases in the bottom of the 7th to eventually bring around the winning run. He is continuing to add strength, and become a power threat at the plate. The swing is effortless with a short stride and strong lower half. He does not try to do too much, especially with 2 strikes. His double and single were both with 2 strikes where he let the hands work, and used his strength to his advantage. He is also an upper 80’s arm on the mound. We look forward to seeing him later in the season.

Though not even in high school, yet, Peoples made a big impression, and stood out in a field of players sometimes three years his senior. Listed at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds, he has some lean, natural strength throughout an athletic, high-waisted frame, and utilizes it well in all aspects of the game. Bouncy on the infield with a nose for the ball, his quick first step and confident glove-work stand out, especially for his age, and he also showcases a strong arm across the diamond. At the plate, the right-handed hitter was a threat all weekend, driving the ball from gap-to-gap. Loading the hands back with a minor leg hang, the bat speed is advanced as he strikes the ball on a flat path through the zone with athletic use of the lower-half. The lag that the barrel exhibits in the zone provided for some firm line drives to the back side gap. There is a spark to Peoples’ all-around game, whether at the plate, in the field, or as a downhill runner, and with the look of a consummate “winner”, expect him to continue making progress, even when facing older opponents.

5-foot-10, 155-pound switch-hitting two-way prospect, strong, athletic frame, projects well. Offensively, switch-hitter, similar approach from both sides of the plate, gap-to-gap type hitter with power to the pull-sie, solid present hit/power tools. Defensively, athletic receiver, arm plays behind the plate, fluid footwork, quick on transfers. Unfazed and comfortable playing up an age level.
