The Flagler College commit was an extra-base machine on Monday night, finding doubles in all three at-bats and in multiple ways. Standing a lean 6-foot-0, 160-pounds, Prince does a good job manipulating the barrel through the zone with a real feel to hit. Took a breaking ball on the outer half for an opposite-field double early, would follow with a hard-hit line drive down the LF line for his next and would finish his 3-for-3 day by creating great leverage from a compact swing to drive a ball over the left fielder’s head. Prince has some positional flexibility in the infield with ability to play all four spots and will be an instant impact player at the d2 level.

6-foot 160-pounds. Prince continues to impress at the plate. One of the best lead off guys I have seen this spring continues to be a tough out, and finds ways to get on base. He had a 8 plus pitch at bat to lead off the game, and ended up shooting one through the 6 hole for a single. He was facing a lefty that could locate the fastball well on the outer half of the zone, and he kept fouling the fastball running away from him off. The load is the key to Prince’s swing. He keeps everything connected, and never tries to do too much. His hands are quick enough to react to the inside pitch, so he can keep his barrel, flat and in the zone for as long as he can. We look forward to seeing Prince this summer as he continues to emerge as one of the top uncommitted juniors.

6-foot 150-pounds. The most impressive bat of the night that finished with a single and a 3 run homerun. One of the most athletic players on the field fits right in at shortstop on the raiders. He has the arm and agility to stick there long term, but could end up playing anywhere on the field. He is an upper 80’s arm on the mound, which proves the arm strength is there. At the plate he generates a lot of power in the lower half and has quick hands to go with it. He has a short, simple stride that produces consistent contact. He has an approach with 2 strikes, and ended up sending one over the LF field fence in a 3-2 count after fouling off multiple pitches.
