Samford Commit. Largen threw well in his start at the Georgia Dugout Club tournament in the midst of a combined no-hitter. He showed good feel for his stuff and didn’t lack confidence on the mound. Largen was poised and was able to get out of a jam early in the game. He displayed a mid 80’s FB topping out at 86 with plenty of life to it. Largen had a strong secondary pitch in the CB as he was able to throw in any count. The CB had good depth and produced weak contact/whiffs. Largen was mechanically sound as he was smooth but explosive down the mound. All around, Largen showed good pitchability.

Uncommitted. 6-foot-4, 200-pounds. Largen has a quick/short arm action delivery where he really gets down the mound with the intent to explode down the mound. He really sits on his back leg in his delivery. He solidified a two pitch mix with his fastball and slider. He would flash a changeup every so often to keep hitters off of the fastball. He ran his fastball up to 88 while settling in at 84-86. The fastball is a real good pitch for him that has late life on it with high spin (2340). The slider has the potential to be a really good pitch for him, Largen showed flashes of what the pitch could be in his outing. The slider ranged from 74-76. He was able to get many swings and misses with it. Largen is a player that is starting to come into his own, his velo is on the rise, and becoming a pitcher. He is starting to make a name for himself in the ‘25 class.

6-foot-2 185-pounds. Largen really impressed out of relief. This was the first time getting eyes on him, and he will be a high follow the rest of the spring. His frame is impressive and looks really strong for a sophomore. He had to come in during a rally by the Eagles, and he shut the door. His fastball was 82-85, and had a really good curveball at 68-71. The competitiveness showed when he ran his fastball up to 85 on his last pitch in the 6th for a strikeout.
