8/01/23

Cape Cod: Showed a twitchy, explosive swing coming out of a 6-foot-3, 185-pound projectable frame. The left-handed hitter batted .324/.404/.441 with 16 doubles and a home run for the Red Raiders this past spring and followed it up with a .242/.330/.286 this summer. His power production should continue to grow with physical maturity and at this point, he’s a top five round follow for 2025.

3/05/22

Texas Tech commit. 6-foot-3, 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder, an elite athlete, long, lanky frame, projectable, quick-twitch. High level hit tool. Collected three hits and four runs batted in against Madison Central (MS). Facing a low-90s lefty early in the game, grounded out to third base in his first at-bat. Battled in his second at-bat, pushing a two strike offering through the left-side for a single. Recorded a hustle double in his third at-bat, against a relief pitcher, on a line drive to left field, scoring two runs. Picked up his third hit and RBIs three and four on another line drive to left field. Quick, athletic hands on display all afternoon. Advanced hand-eye, ability to use the entire field. High IQ. Utilizes speed at every chance, aggressive on bases and in outfield.

2/06/22

Harrelson, a Texas Tech recruit, was a summer favorite, and only affirmed his position as one of the top outfielders in the class with a flawless showing at the Super 60. The wiry-athletic, 6-foot-3, 175-pounder glided through a 6.5 60-yard dash time before finding the barrel with every swing he took (100% barrel percentage per Trackman) as the it appeared to stay in the zone forever with firm (98.7 mph max) contact spraying from gap-to-gap. With what can best be described as some “funk” to the hands throughout the load, Harrelson works back fluidly with a short stride, but pulls the hands to the ear prior to the approach. The look is certainly unique, but also appears to be innate, and his barrel awareness and accuracy stood out as elite at the event. Harrelson carried himself well, and even in the smallest of actions during the outfield portion, his confidence as a future center fielder pervades. Georgia’s historically good 2022 class should have important eyes venturing to the Peach State regularly, and a strong spring from Harrelson could climb him even higher on draft boards looking towards July.

2/14/20

6-foot-2, 165-pound left-handed outfielder, lanky athletic frame, broad shoulders, will fill out with strength as he continues to physically mature. Hit out off the leadoff spot for a loaded Houston County. Uses the entire field with a line drive approach, loose hands at the plate, Swing will play with more power as he adds strength.
