Grier has an excellent frame with present strength in his lower half. He came in at 6-foot 165-pounds and uses all of that for leverage at the plate, showing a strong 86 mph exit velocity, with more in the tank. He hits out a narrow base, but uses a strong front side and strong wrist to create good bat-speed. He also creates a nice high finish and projects to have some power down the road with added strength to his upper body. Defensively his actions are longer good hands out front. He has a long enough arms to increase his range and allows him to stay in control. He also keeps his feet underneath him and plays easy. He profiles well as a second or thirdbaseman at the next level. With added strength over the off-season, Grier is primed to make a jump next spring. Good looking athlete that is on the come.
