Weir is an average frame guy with some wiry strength and athleticism. Did not get his best look on this day, due to injuring his finger on the football field earlier in the week. Weir sat in that 80-84 range touching 86. He flashes the ability to sink the baseball and at times even enough life to be a ground ball machine. His breaking ball alone grades out below average, but when partnered with his sinker it gives him the ability move the ball both in and away from hitters. He will stand a hitter up with his breaking ball when executed. Missing from this arsenal is the ability to expand the zone. At this time Weir is a pitch to contact right-hander with some upside in the strength department, but has the ability to pitch quality innings at the next level as a starter.
