Uncommitted. Put together quality at-bats all weekend, but arguably the biggest day came on Monday of bracket play. In the semi-final game Ray launched a towering homerun that left the bat at 97 MPH and traveled 349 FT. Later in the Championship game the RHH came through with a backside knock that was 94 off the bat. Highlighting a mature all-fields approach at the plate that was on full display over the weekend. Ray shows an innate ability to sync-up and generate impressive bat-speed in a hurry. Opened eyes on the defensive side of the ball. A savvy defender that exhibits athletic actions with crisp glovework and standout lateral range.

Positional Profile: SS/2B Well rounded SS with nice bat 2 ball skills. Body: 5-11, 155-pounds. Large frame with strength throughout, long levers. Hits: RHH. Unorthodox separation but hand eye is undeniable, and translates very well to game vs quality arms. Good lower half move. Very impressive inside out path that creates backspin lasers to oppo gap. Showed improved ability to front arm shrink and turn barrel in tight space. Got stronger over winter as well. Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 80.7 MPH. 309' max distance. Back spin lasers to oppo gap, starting to do same pull side gap. Arm: RH. INF-82 mph.Clean 3/4 arm action. Defense: Plays through the ball with confidence, fields out front, soft glove, funnels into mid section, quick exchanges, gets rid of the ball fast. Run: 7.47 runner in the 60.

GA Preseason All State
A much stronger Carson Ray showed up to PAS23, even more impressive than the 2022 future games version of him. With a stocky yet very athletic build, he shows exceptional feel for the barrel and an advanced opposite field approach. But he showed us there was much added power on the pull side, sending multiple line drives that 1-2 the fence in left center. He cut down the 60 time into the 7.4 range, and his 90 EV was eye opening for his class. His sweet spot % (86) was one of the best in the event, as he repeatedly barreled baseballs all over the field.
