Georgia commit. #1 ranked 2020 SS in GA. Ketchup plays well above his 5-foot-9, 145 pound listing. Shows gap-to-gap power to all fields, as evidence by a triple to RF. 4.0 on the turn, with a slight hesitation. Launches from backside and has barreled balls every time we have seen him. Flashed smooth infield actions. Athleticism surely plays on both sides.
5/3/18 - Wiry, athletic frame and showed above average wheels, posting a 4.50 home-to-1B time on a turn with a second gear he kicked into a few yards around first base. Showed solid actions and arm strength prior to the game. Stayed under control and got his body in position to work through a chopper he fielded chest-high on the only ball hit his way during game action. Right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and strides to square with nice hand rhythm in his load. While it ultimately resulted in a fly out, he showed good balance and didn't get out too far ahead of himself when attacking an offspeed pitch.
2/12/19- Quiet, smooth steps in create fluid shortstop actions for this future Georgia Bulldog. Kid is a no doubt asset defensively on the next level, but will have to prove he can be impact at shortstop to create serious buzz in the 2020 draft. Really like everything about his game and where it can go. He has sneaky strength at the plate and can run. As Ketchup enters some of the more premium conversations in 2020, size and strength at the plate will be in question, but either way this kid can play the game and is exciting to watch.
