3/25/24
Uncommitted. Germanenko had a big summer, and carried that into a strong preseason. He got off to a slow start in his first year, seeing significant time at the varsity level, but Monday night could have been the night he needed to get things rolling. He had 3 big barrels, all 3 leading to doubles, with 1 being an error on the center fielder. The consistency in finding the barrel is what made Germanenko stand out so much over the summer. Playing with wood bats as a 15 year old can be challenging, but he showed the ability to not try to do too much and staying through the middle of the field with a line drive approach. The tools are there behind the plate. He is tough to run out, and did not have a single pass ball with Seabold on the mound when he was burying his curveball to get swings and misses.
