Walker was quick to follow up Whitlock with a highly impressive blast to LCF to go back-to-back for Starr’s Mill. The Georgia Tech commit was caught out front but caught enough of the barrel backed by great strength in the wrists to drive a ball on a rope into the trees. Advanced body control and length through the zone work in tandem, and could lead to significant power potential as Walker fills out an athletic 6-foot-3 frame. The tools and projection to rival anyone in the class with the production to match as he builds his potential draft stock heading into this summer.
4/27/23
Georgia Tech Commit. 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. This is without a doubt one of the best athletes on a baseball diamond in the state, AND one of the best athletes on a football field in the state. The dual sport (DB/WR/CF) ACC commit is known for his double plus run times, and insane instincts in CF. He basically plays the same position in both sports (FS/CF), and both complement each other. Fluid hips, 1st step, route running, anticipation, tracking ability, hands, ability to put the body in uncomfortable positions, Bo has every tool needed to be an elite defender at a premium position. But don’t forget about his bat! Although somewhat raw mechanically, he has rare bat 2 ball skills and very good feel to manipulate the path based on pitch location. After a labrum injury, this was the first baseball Bo has played all year. He didn’t miss a beat, showing off a smooth inside-out swing on an outer half FB he laced past the 2B. His fast twitch fibers were alive and well, as he showed impressive reaction time letting the FB travel deeper than normal. He had 2 oppo barrels and 3 BB, showing advanced pitch recognition and plate discipline. This hit tool is real, and we can’t wait to see his cannon arm back fully healthy and back to his normal strength. This is a very exciting follow who we will give all the time he needs to make a full evaluation, and the sky is truly the limit for Bo in both sports when he arrives to ATL next summer.
