One of the leaders on this Buccaneers ball club, Planeta continues to check a ton of boxes on both sides of the ball this spring. Batting leadoff for Allatoona, the junior shortstop utilities loose hands at the plate with a quick twitch trigger and strong approach for solid bat-to-ball skills. Identifies spin well and uses a gap to gap approach with ease. Came through with a big run-scoring double with a shot down the LF line to extend the lead for the Buccaneers. Defensively, Planeta moves effortlessly in the dirt with quick feet and above-average lateral range. Attacks the ball with confidence with accurate throws on the move. Carrying tool long term will be the glove for the uncommitted junior, and showing an all-around floor that has impact at the collegiate level.
