Uncommitted. Jimenez has a wiry athletic frame at 6’1” 185lbs. Worked a shorter arm swing on the mound that he timed up well into a high ¾ arm slot. He really impressed in his start for the ECB Astros, as he showed the ability to fill up the zone and attack opposing hitters. He worked the fastball mostly 82-84 in the start, topping out at 85 with a bit of run to the arm-side and good tilt to the bottom of the zone. Off of the fastball, he mixed in a gradual sweeping slider at 70-74. He showed good feel to manipulate the pitch, and averaged around 2400rpm. It’s a solid arsenal at present with athletic movements down the mound that projects to keep throwing harder.
