03/30/18- South Alabama recruit. Athletic, proportional frame with long, loose arms. He shows a full arm swing with a simple, repeatable delivery and throwing from a 3/4 slot. The arm works clean and easy and fastball has life early with some tilt. The curveball showed mixed shape, but when he was extended and on top of the pitch it had depth. The splitter popped out of his hand at times, but also when extended it had tumble. Lost some velocity in the fourth and fifth settling in at 86-88 mph, he could use more of the lower half to drive down the mound. There is plenty of room to fill out and project added strength. High upside on Young in the future.
03/03/18- South Alabama recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 155 pounds with a lean, projectable frame. Quick arm that featured an 89-91 mph fastball, touching 92 at times while mixing in a 74-75 mph slider and an 81-82 mph changeup that showed some sink. Was a bit erratic with his command and a few errors in the field behind him caused him to only go three innings, but still managed to strike out seven. When he lands out in front and stays in line, he’s able to have more command of the zone.
10/24/17- Has a long, projectable frame with a young face. He has a quick arm and the fastball worked 88-90 mph and should jump with strength. South Alabama recruit.
10/15/17- South Alabama recruit. Long, lean build. Fastball sat 87-88 mph along with a 76-77 mph slider. He has a quick arm and throws from a high 3/4 slot. The frame and arm project well. He tends to loose the front side and become rotational. This doesn’t let his quick arm work as freely as you would like. There is a lot to like and a high ceiling.
10/10/15- up to 90 on the mound.
