03/07/18- Texas Christian recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot, 185 pounds with an athletic frame and strong lower half. Hudi was dominant in his five innings on the mound where he allowed no hits, walked none, and struck out nine. He really mixed up his pitches well and threw his off-speed stuff at any time in the count. Featured a fastball that mostly sat 84-87 mph, touching 88 while flashing an above average changeup at 75-77 mph with fade along with a curveball that sat 73-74 mph that had depth. Works with a quick pace and pitches with fire. Once Hudi gets in a groove, he’s tough to slow down as he hits his spots and keeps the ball low and down in the zone.
04/04/17 - Texas Christian recruit. Currently ranked No. 26 in the Florida 2019 Class, No. 108 Overall. Currently stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds with a lean, athletic build. Has an over the top, fluid windup with a big leg kick as he lands out in front on his delivery. Repeats well. Relaxed demeanor on the mound and works with a good pace. Fastball was mostly 84-85 mph, touching 86 along with a 74-75 mph change up with sink, similar fastball arm speed and a 71-73 mph curveball that showed good depth and shape. Showed a feel for all three pitches, pounded the strike zone. Kept the ball low and away in the zone. Allowed only one hit and struck out eight in his six innings pitched.
9/11/16- Committed to Texas Christian University.
8/13/16- The 5-foot-10, 150 pound lefty showed an clean and easy 3/4 arm action with a fastball at 81-82 mph. Although the velocity was down a bit, everything was clean and easy, in line and he was confident in what he was doing. He missed up at times, but has a feel for pitching and showed the ability to adjust and work down to both sides of the plate. The slider showed a sweeping action with some late depth at 71-73 mph and he showed feel for the pitch. He also showed a change up which was 75 mph. Expect him to continue to improve and velocity to jump as he fills out. Very interesting arm going forward.
6/27/16- Currently ranked No. 31 in the Florida 2019 Class, the 5-foot-11, 155-pounder has a lean, projectable, athletic build with a live body. Gathers himself and repeats well. Calm demeanor on the mound. Works quickly. Throws the ball out of the high ¾ arm slot with a big leg kick in his delivery. Falls off the side on his landing, can use his lower half more on his follow through. Fastball mostly sat 83-85 mph with some sinking action and arm side run while also mixing in a 70-71 mph curveball that had a ¾ break as well as a 74-75 mph change up. Mixed it up well by striking out seven in five innings while only giving up two hits. Quick pick-off move. Projectable young arm and a high follow this summer.
08/22/15- 2019 LHP 5”11”/155 Nolan sat 80-82 FB during the game and bumped an 83. He had a good feel for 3 pitches including a CH and a BB with tailing action. Worked quickly and was poised on the mound.
