5/18/16- Alabama State commit who stands at 5-foot-7, 135 pounds with a small, compact, lean, and athletic body with live actions all over the field. He is ranked 115^th in Florida. At the plate he has an open stance, gets a separation for his load, and has great bat speed for his size. He stays inside the ball well and the ball really jumps off his bat. Quick, loose hands and he knows how to manipulate the barrel and drive the ball to all fields. He is a spark plug who has advanced instincts all over the field. At shortstop quick, light feet and plenty of range and arm strength to stay there. He is a grinder and makes difficult plays look easy.

 
4/27/16- Alabama State recruit, currently ranked No. 115 in Florida’s 2016 class. Live, loose 5-foot-7, 135-pound quick twitch athlete. Shows agility, body balance, and good lateral quickness in the field with soft hands and fluid actions. Quick feet with good instincts and can pick it. Strong enough arm to stay at SS, throws are on line and accurate. At the plate Lopez has a high hand set with a slightly open stance and gets a higher leg kick for his load. Quick bat and gets a strong swing on the ball for a guy his size. Shows good strike zone awareness and finds a way to consistently get on base. On the base paths Lopez shows good instincts, takes good leads, and gets a good jump on the pitcher. Aggressive runner.

3/31/16 - Alabama State recruit. 5-foot-6, 130 pound infielder with a short, lean athletic projectable body on a small frame.  Loose easy quick fluid infield actions. Has feet like a dancer. Very smooth, slick fielding short stop. Pound for pound, one of the best. Soft quick hands. The ball disappears in his glove. Shows plenty of arm of stay at that position. Good first step quickness with very good infield instincts. Plus fielder. Loose quick bat with an aggressive approach. Maybe a bit too aggressive. Takes a big hack for a little guy. Lacks physical strength right now, but will come with physical maturity. Will be a very good short stop at Alabama St. 4.3 to 1B.

3/23/15 - Alabama St commit. 5-foot-6, 130 pound infielder who is a sparkplug in the leadoff position for McCarthy. Don’t let the size fool you. Swings the bat well to all-fields. Good hand eye with good bat control. Gets on base and plays a competent, instinctive short stop.
