Cape Cod: Followed up a solid sophomore year with a standout junior campaign at Louisiana Tech this spring, hitting 16 homers and posting a career-best .875 OPS. But he struggled in limited action on the Cape, hitting .128 in 39 ABs. Plenty physical at 6-2, 210 pounds, Corona has a steep righthanded swing with some pop and leverage, but his game comes with some swing-and-miss, particularly against righthanded spin. He is a solid defender behind the plate with a 55 arm.

10/12/18 - Polk State CC commit. 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed catcher has a very physical frame with strength throughout. Offensively, he stands tall and has present bat speed, strength and leverage. The ball jumps off of the bat to the pull side and has potential for plus pull side power. There is some swing and miss, but the power potential is there. Defensively, he is solid all around and flexible despite the large frame. Had pop times that ranged 1.94-2.2. Overall an offensive catcher with big power potential who will be a solid defender.

07/28/18- Polk State College recruit, standing at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds he has a broad shouldered, strength throughout his frame. Showed plus defensive actions with a plus arm, pop times ranging from 1.85-1.95 and topping out at 82 mph. Has flexibility, feel to receive and block and overall above average defensive actions. Offensively, he uses the strong lower half well, clearing the back side and stays simple and compact through the zone. Generated an exit velocity of 93 mph and has present hit and power potential. Corona will be a draft follow going to Polk State JC.
