At 6-foot, 185 pounds, Schroeder adds strength to the already athletic frame which set him apart from the get-go. In the infield, he shows the mobility and arm strength to play in the middle or on the left side. He’s active and has the body control to stay balanced and make a strong, accurate throw. At the plate, he is similar from both sides with strong swings that get through the ball as it jumps off his bat. He stays inside the ball with consistency left handed with line drives to the opposite gap and tends to stay in the pull side gap from the right side where he has a bit more natural ability.

Registered an exit velocity of 90 mph in the cage which was one of the top ones in his class. Behind the plate he showed athleticism and displayed a strong arm on his throws to the bag that topped out at 75 mph. Clocked in at 8.01 seconds for his 60 yard dash time.

Projectable, athletic build with room to fill out standing at 6-foot, 165 pounds. Showed up all over the field especially behind the plate where he displayed an athletic setup, soft hands, quick feet, and a strong, accurate arm which topped out at 74 mph on his throws down to second. Quick release and pop times ranged from 1.91-1.98 seconds. Offensively, he showed loose hands and a short, quick swing from both sides of the plate with the ability to make consistent contact and drive the ball into the outfield. Schroeder is a little more fluid in his swing from the left side, but as the swing develops more from the right side it will make him a very interesting follow as a switch hitting catcher. Also took groundballs at short where he fielded the ball out in front and made online throws to the bag that topped out at 75 mph.
