5/28/16- Kentucky commit who stands at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with lean, long, athletic, and projectable body with loose actions and wiry strength. Ranked 20th in Florida and 97th overall. He has a quick, loose arm and was sitting 90-93 and touching 94 mph at the FACA All Star Game. He also showed some decent feel for an 81 mph slider and 82 mph changeup. He is raw and needs to work on finding a more consistent release point, but he has the body, projection, and velocity to be a solid 2016 draft. This final showing at FACA certainly did not hurt him going into the draft.
4/27/16- Kentucky recruit. Currently ranked No. 20 in the Florida 2016 class, No. 97 overall. Live, athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pounder with long limbs. Loose, easy arm action of the high ¾ arm slot. Ball comes out of his hand easy with little effort. Still a little raw with mechanics, flied open and fell off the mound frequently during his time on the mound. More consistency with his delivery and follow through should result in a better command of the zone. Fastball sat 89-93 mph with run, did touch 94 a couple times. Slider was 80-82 mph with some depth along with a 76-78 mph change up that has some sinking action. Plays with energy and competes.
2/12/16 - Kentucky recruit. 6-foot-2, 180 pound OF/RHP with a very athletic live body with long legs and high hips and long loose arms. Very athletic actions in the outfield with plus range and a plus arm. Fair reads and routes but makes up for any bad jumps or routes with raw speed. Looks like a plus runner. Ran a 4.4 on a turn to 1B. A glider. Has loose quick hands at the plate with some bat speed. Power will come with physical maturity. Aggressive approach. Occasionally gets too far out front and gets around ball but makes a lot of contact. Not as crude as I’ve seen in the past. Continues to get better. Had a big day going 4-5 with 3 doubles, 2 stolen bases. Should be a 2016 draft.
Kentucky recruit. 6-foot-2, 180 pound OF/RHP with a very athletic live body with long legs and high hips and long loose arms. On the mound, he has a loose live easy working very quick arm at a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot. Ball jumps out of his hand. Takes ball out past hip and occasionally leaves it behind, causing him to miss up in the zone. Lands in line. Upright finish. Fastball is 89-93 with late life in the zone. Ball jumps down in the zone when his release is out front. Slider is a short ¾ roller at 78-84 mph. Gets around it. Is workable when he releases out front. Changeup has good arm speed and same fastball life at 79-80 mph. Needs some polishing up but has an electric arm. Also went 4-4 with a 2B and 2 RBIs. Should be 2016 draft.
10/18/15- Committed to University of Kentucky
6/19/15 - Uncommitted rising senior. 6-foot-2, 170 pound outfielder with a lean loose live athletic projectable body. High waisted with high hips. Easy athletic actions in outfield with a solid average ML arm. Has quickness in the bat with some crudeness but lacks strength. Is also a star football guy. Ran a 6.75 60. Very athletic kid that will improve with reps and added strength.
6-foot-2, 180 pound outfielder with a tall loose lean live athletic projectable body. Very athletic actions in the outfield with a plus ML arm. Threw a guy out at home today from centerfield. Fair bat speed with some quickness in hands but lacks strength. Some crudeness to swing. Plus runner. Is being heavily recruited in football as well. On the mound he had a loose quick arm. Occasionally would hurry delivery and leave arm behind. Command was inconsistent. Fastball was 85-91 mph with occasional tilt and occasional late life. Curve ball was 74-77 mph with occasional depth when he released it out front. Change up was 76-77 mph with some fade. Slowed down to throw off speed stuff. Inconsistent release caused for inconsistent stuff and command. Needs some polishing but has an awful lot to work with.
