7/26/16- On the mound, the 5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed competed well. The fastball was 73 mph with slight arm side run to it. The breaking ball is big right now, sitting at 65-69 mph. The changeup is 68 mph and still a work in progress. The delivery is repeated, athletic lift and go, the front side (glove) is pulled hard off the target. This in turn, forces the head to shift and the slot to raise higher than it should. That should settle itself out as he ages. Postionally, threw 75 mph across the diamond to first base. Showed an average glove and average feet in the infield. Ran a 5.01 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 79 mph. Sets up with a wide base and high elbow start. The front foot is lifted as the ball approaches, needs to make sure he gets it back down prior to starting the swing. The path is long, as he needs strength to handle the barrel more efficiently
