5/10/16- Uncommitted junior currently ranked No. 82 in the Florida 2017 class, No. 281 overall. Strong, athletic, projectable build on a 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame. At the plate, Fernandez has a high hand set and shows good balance in the box with good strike zone awareness. Displayed quick hands and the ability to square the ball up consistently. Ball jumps off the bat with some pull-side approach. Doubled twice deep into left field during the game. In the outfield, shows good first step quickness and takes good routes to the ball with range. Aggressive going after the ball. Made a very tough catch deep into foul territory down the right field line. Makes good turns on the base paths.

3/9/15 - 6-foot-2, 185 pound outfielder with an athletic body and projectable swing. Profiles for right field. Laced a 2-run double over the center fielder’s head in the 7^th inning to ice the game.  Looks the part, and is two years away. Potential 2017 draft.
