6-foot, 185-pound strong athletic frame. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 98 mph. (60.74 mph bat speed average). (21.88 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced crouched stance with a quick tight load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed was explosive, had a short upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Smooth athletic in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 84 mph; had choppy footwork, consistent hands, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Showed a long arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.79.
10/11/19
6-foot, 180 pounds: solid strength throughout. Good athlete that impressed at the plate and defensively. In the outfield, moved well to cover ground. Makes the difficult play. Good pop for frame. Quiet stance with simple load. Level path through the zone; had a solid showing with plenty of good swings on the weekend.
8/07/19
6-foot, 180-pound, strong, athletic right-handed hitting outfielder and third base, has the frame to put on significant muscle, fleet-footed, 6.89 runner. He looked to have been moving with more freedom and ease throughout the day than our last look. Defensively, long arm action, unorthodox, throws carried with accuracy, 79 from the outfield, 76 across the infield, both of which the actions looked more fluid and easy. Fields the ball naturally in the outfield, playing through it, soft hands and clean actions. On the infield, soft hands, fields out front and transfers cleanly. Offensively, wide, crouching setup, hands start back, short load, picks up leg on stride, remains balanced. Barrel path is level through the zone, drives the ball to the middle/pull, 84 mph exit velocity.
7/23/19
A lead 6-foot, 180 pounds he ran a 7.16 60 yard dash. From the outfield, it is a slightly unorthodox release, but throws had carry and topped at 80 mph. In the infield the glove works out in front and is a sound defender. Offensively, he starts with a wide base and is aggressive, uphill, to the pull side. There is above average bat speed and present strength that shows present pullside power. Had an exit velocity of 87 mph and has a chance to hit for power.
