The reactive strength index measurement of an athlete's explosiveness by comparing their jump height to the ground contact time in between their jumps. On a scale of 0-5.
Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 155-pound, slim, lean athletic frame, with lots of room for added weight gains. Worked out on both sides of the field. At the plate, a wider, slightly open set up, loose and relaxed hands at the shoulders. For timing uses a smooth controlled, leg raise. The hands are loaded with bat tilt on foot strike. The swing is loose through the zone, hands are inside the baseball. The approach was from gap to gap, took 3 solid rounds of batting practice, the exit velocity was clocked at 87 mph, with a ton more in there. Defensively, smooth feet around the bag at first, glove is soft, showed a clean throwing path across the diamond. Off the mound, the delivery is super smooth, working from the full motion. The lift is higher and athletic, separation is on time and clean. The arm action is long and loose, working from a 3/4 slot, with length out front on release. The fastball was clocked at 75 mph, with a ton more in there. The breaking ball showed good rotation, depth, with good spin, clocked at 65 mph. Mixed in a fading changeup to the arm side, clocked at 67 mph, should create swings and misses. Tons of projection off the mound.
Exit Velocity: 87 mph
Arm Velocity: 75 mph
Thirty-Yard Dash: 4.35
