Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
6-foot, 165-pound, average athletic frame. Longer, thin, with plenty of room for added strength. A right-handed hitting two-way player, at the plate, taller stance, even feet, hands at the shoulders. The swing is level through the zone, approach being line drive to pull side, more of a front foot hitter. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph and ran a 7.97 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, worked out at 3rd-base, arm was clocked at 70 mph, short arm action from a 3/4 slot, gets rid of the baseball quickly. Showed good rhythm moving to glove side, using more of shuffle for the transfer. Off the mound, more of a sinker/slider guy. The arm is clean quick, short action, gets out front on release. The fastball was clocked in the upper 60's with down action and arm side run. The slider was clocked at 59-60 mph and also featured a changeup at 66-67 mph. A regimented throwing program with added strength gains and the velocity should climb, like how the baseball comes out of his hand with action to it.

2/20/19
6-foot, 165-pound, sloped shoulders longer lean athletic frame. A two way player, off the mound, works from the set position. The leg kick is quick, builds momentum down the mound. The arm action is short and clean on the back side, working out of low ¾ slot, gets good extension on release, small pull with lead arm could track a tick longer. Looks to recoil the finish, has more in at the backend. The fastball reached 71 mph with action to arm side, good sink. Threw a slider at 69 mph, more horizontal break to it, gets around it at times. The changeup is a work in progress, clocked at 67-69 mph. Offensively, hits from the right side, feet are even, small crouch, has separation with hands. The swing level through the zone, approach is more to the pull side, with top spin at times. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph, good bat speed. Defensively, threw 72 mh from third base, arm works out of a ¾ slot. Footwork needs to be refined, uses an extra step in transfer. The flow starting double play is smooth, recoils on the finish. Projects for me off the mound, high ceiling.
