Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6-foot-2, 155-pound, longer lean athletic frame. Longer neck, squared off shoulders, with plenty of room for added weight. A right-handed hitting two way player, at the plate, even balanced feet, higher hand set, tilted setup with bat head. For timing, uses a small leg kick, gains ground with stride foot, with backside drive. The swing is level through the zone, with barrel having life and whip out front, ball jumps off bat better than recorded tee exit velocity at 69 mph. The approach is more to the pull side, ran a 7.47 sixty-yard dash. Off the mound, showing a projectable pitchers frame. The delivery is simple, pushes hands forward in gather, leading to some forward lean, could stay over the rubber. The direction is inline, with length, front glove comes off, needs to track longer to plate. The arm action is longer, clean, working from a 3/4 slot, whippy action to it at times. The fastball was clocked at 74 mph, with a ton more in there. Showed a slurvy hammer breaking ball at 59 mph, will need to add more fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is a work in progress, clocked at 67-68 mph. Defensively, threw 70 mph across the diamond, slower feet, needs to get feet and hands to work together, with added flow. Projects for me off the mound, tons of room to climb, positionally more of a corner player.
