Second event for him, thought he showed real well. Off the mound the ball came out of a ¾ slot with good sink, pounded the zone. The fastball sat 81-84, touched 87. The slider was 73-74, threw it for strikes and put hitters away with it. Change up was anywhere from 75-79, had good depth to it. The motion is repeatable, smooth for the most part, has a little coil in him, which in return might pull off a bit at the end, nothing that can't be cleaned up. In the field, showed smooth actions with an arm across the diamond of 77. At the plate, hits from the right side, even base, is tall in the box, path is clean and flat through the zone. The tee exit velocity was 85 and got down the line at 4.40. The future in my mind is off the bump, the body is long and loose, needs to gain some strength, once this happens velo is going to jump, very interesting prospect.

At 6-foot-1, 160-pounds, a very projectable body, has room to add mass and muscle. At shortstop, shows smooth soft hands, fields the ball out front, and keeps his feet moving towards his target. Arm strength is just ok, registered 74 on the gun. At the plate he hits with an even base, needs to get more of a trigger, the path to the ball is flat and the finish is nice and high.  The tee exit velocity was 85. Time down the line was 4.6, has a nice bounce in him.  As a right-handed pitcher, he throws from a ¾ slot and it’s free and easy. The fastball was 81-84 with good arm-side run. Fastball has a chance to take off, more in the tank. Curveball was 71-72, with good rotation. Didn’t show much of a change, but with the arm action should be able to produce a small one. Strength is a major key in his development, look for him to blow up at some point.
