5-foot-10, 155-pound, average athletic frame, well proportioned throughout, has room to fill out. A right-handed pitcher who threw the baseball very well. The delivery is simple, hands are quiet and has a controlled leg raise. The direction is inline, could stride out longer, sits on the backside, could stay taller throughout. The arm action is short and quick, ball comes out of a natural ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 80-82 mph, with good action with 2 seamer, located the fastball to both sides of the plate. Showed good feel for both secondary pitches, breaking ball had proper spin, clocked at 65-69 mph, with more in there. The split is an out pitch if controlled, clocked at 69-70 mph, with tumbling action to it. Offensively, hits from the right side, the stance is taller, front foot slightly open, hands work freely, with whip out front with the barrel. The swing gets a little rotational at times, could stay closed slightly longer, the path is level to up and finishes the swing with one hand. The tee exit velocity was 79 mph, and ran a 4.8 from home to first. In game swings were very good, collected two singles and hung on a curve ball well. Defensively, prep steps and feet work well, fields the baseball out front and gets rid of it in one motion, no wasted movement. The arm was clocked at 74 mph, across the diamond. Projects for me off the mound, with the ability to spin and locate the secondary pitches, looking to potentially prep a year.
