3/28/18 - Junior. Listed at 6’1/186, he looks a bit smaller. Has an athletic delivery with a long arm swing and throws from high 3/4 slot. Some length in the back led to an inconsistent release and led to some command struggles with the fastball. The fastball worked 90-93 mph early, with tilt and some cut at times and fell off some in the fifth pitching at 86-88 mph. He relied heavily and pitched off of a plus curveball. True 12/6 action with tight spin and depth. Showed ability to throw the pitch for strikes as well as for swing and miss. The curveball ranged from 77-84 mph and was the strikeout pitch for seven of his eleven strikeouts. He threw five innings, allowing one run on five hits while striking out 11. He did not throw a changeup, but he does has some present feel to pitch and projects as a starting pitcher in professional baseball.
