6-foot, 155-pound long, loose athletic frame with tons of room to fill out. A right-handed pitcher, delivery is simple, hands are set high at chest and his leg raise is under control. The backside is strong, hand separation was clean and his arm works out of a natural ¾ slot. The fastball was 77 mph, threw one bullet at 83 mph, located it well to the arm-side and it comes out of his hand with ease. The breaking ball was 67-69 mph with a 10/5 break with good slurvey action. Changeup was clocked at 65-70 mph, needs to be consistent with arm speed. Times to the plate were 1.65-1.69. The direction is good to the plate, leads with front hip, glove side could stay on line slightly longer. The delivery is much improved from the previous workout.
7/14/15
5-foot-10, 145-pound skinny, athletic body, needs to get stronger and put weight on. Right-handed pitcher, Fastball was 74-76, with his ¾ slot he had good sink and run on his 2-seamer. Arm was clean and the ball came out with easy effort. Mechanically had a simple motion and good direction to home. The curve ball was thrown at 66-67 and had proper rotation on it, change up was 68-69 with good feel for it. At the plate he hit from the right side with a wide base and a high elbow, got the barrel to ball with a good path, exit velocity was 74. In the infield showed good actions, needs to attack the ball a little better. Mechanics on everything were pretty sound, strength and speed must improve.
6.30.15
Right-handed, ¾ arm slot pitcher with small build at 5-foot-10, 140-pounds. Looks very comfortable on the bump as he seems to really enjoy pitching. Fastball has arm-side run to it at 75 mph, and the arm is clean with a slight field goalpost front to back path approach. The breaking pitch is very small at 66 mph and he threw a knuckle ball at 57 mph. Pitched out of the stretch and handled the running game with a 1.15 time to the dish. Delivery is repeatable and clean, athlete.
