Sacred Heart Commit, 6-foot-4, 195-pound mature frame. Projectable on the mound, showed lightning arm speed with a long arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses some effort to the delivery. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 87-90 mph; showed control low in the zone and hard action with heavy movement. Has a 1/7curveball 72-74 mph; that shows glove side command and tilt. Threw a straight changeup 79-81 mph with fading action and arm side control. Committed after the event, chance to be a draft pick at some point.
3/04/20
6-foot-4, 190-pound, long, strong physical athletic frame. Showing good strength and athleticism. A right-handed pitcher, hands start and stay at the chest, gets loaded up, strong and taller on the backside. The separation is on time, lands slightly across his body, stays balanced throughout. The arm action is clean, longer path, working from 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. The fastball is heavy and hard, clocked at 85 mph, gets through the catcher. The breaking ball has late break, harder biting break, clocked at 71-72 mph. Look for the arm to jump, delivery will need to be smoothed out, very high ceiling. One of the more projectable arms in the class of 2022.
2/22/20
6-foot-4, 190-pound, long, wider, strong athletic frame. A big time athlete, explosive, with plenty of room for added weight. A right-handed pitcher, worked out in infield as well. Off the mound, having big potential to have a powerful arm down the road. The delivery has rhythm to it, hands starting high, building momentum down the mound. Showing slight drift, could stay over the rubber a tick longer, direction is slightly across the body. The front glove has minimal pull, could stride out a tick longer, upper half gets out front ahead of lower half. The arm action is clean, longer on the back half, working from a high 3/4 slot. The fastball touched 85 mph, gets through the catcher, with ride to it. The curveball was clocked at 68-69 mph, could move to a slider, with his fast arm. Changeup is still a work in progress at 74 mph. At the plate, wider, slightly open stance, hands are relaxed, set on the shoulders. The swing is level to up, driving the baseball middle to pull side with power. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 90 mph. Defensively, threw 79 mph across the diamond, footwork is smooth, clean actions and flow. An above average runner, clocked at 4.28 from home to 1st. Love him off the mound, will be attending the future games this year, big follow, going pitch with velocity at some point, big arm
