A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a long loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a 60 time of 7.5 at the event. Advanced on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a long loose arm action with quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall up-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Showed strong balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 80-82 mph; has a heavy fastball that shows sinking action and arm side control. 5-foot-8, 145-pound, smaller athletic frame. Showing wiry strength for his age, will need to add weight and strength over time. A right-handed hitting outfielder/infielder, at the plate, starting slightly wider, hands are loaded at the shoulders, bat starting in a tilted position. For timing uses a higher smooth leg kick, gains ground with stride foot. The swing is level through the zone, short to contact, short through and after, finishes with two hands at shoulder height. The approach is more line drives from the middle to pull side. The backside could be more firm, with drive to it, easy fix with reps. Defensively, arm action is shorter and clean, throwing from a higher slot, arm was clocked at 73 mph from the outfield. The transfer is clean, using more of shuffle. In the infield, actions are clean, moving well to both sides, the glove is soft out front on catch. Will need to continue to smooth out mechanics, and add strength, will aid in the development.
