Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
5-foot-8, 170-pound, strong, physical athletic frame. Rounded shoulders, well proportioned athlete, with good strength. A right-handed hitter, at the plate, taller, slightly open stance, hands are relaxed and loose at shoulder height. The swing is flat through the zone, finishes higher, small leg kick for timing, needs to get balanced on foot strike, spins off at times. The approach was more to pull side, consistently one line drive after another. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph and ran a 7.81 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, threw 71 mph from the outfield, arm action is longer, working from a high 3/4 slot. For the transfer uses more of a shuffle, gains ground all throws were on a line. Behind the plate, set up is wider, balanced, showing strong hands on the catch, secures the pitch. Gains ground in transfer, glove hand can be stronger, glove to hand transfer. The pop time was clocked at 2.30-2.35 and arm was clocked at 64 mph. Projects for me more as an outfield.
