Merritt Hole: RHP/OF, (2025) Darien, CT. 6-foot, 170-pound athletic lean frame. Raw at the plate, Hole's best exit velocity was 83 mph. (67.8 mph bat speed average). (22.5 mph hand speed average). Begins in a closed stance with a wrapping load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is quick, uses a short rotational swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Above average in the outfield, he showed a plus arm and had life on his throws with a position velocity of 91 mph;showed soft hands, athletic quick feet, and a twitchy exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Using a long loose arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the base from a high ¾ slot. Above average projectable on the mound, used a long loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing lightning arm speed. Tall-and-fall up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic recoil finish. Threw his fastball 84-86 mph; has arm side control and sinking swing and miss action with heavy movement. (Max spin 2122; Avg 2015). His 1/7 curveball (68-70) has glove side control and slurvey tight action. (Max spin 2275; Avg 2103). His changeup (76-77) had fading action and arm side command. Big time projection off the mound.

Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Pull side approach. Above average in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 77 mph; had a twitchy quick exchange, soft hands, and athletic smooth footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot and a long loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Raw projectable on the mound, used a long loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Stretch only up-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Has a strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 78-81 mph; shows arm side command and sinking action with heavy movement. (Max spin 2073; Avg 2017). He shows late slurvey action and down in the zone control on his 1/7 curveball (67-70). (Max spin 2317; Avg 2237). His changeup (73-74) has fading action and arm side command. Good looking young athlete.
