Lucus Hoadley: RHP/1B, (2024) Morgan, CT. 5-foot-10, 185-pound athletic strong frame. Solid at the plate, Hoadley's best exit velocity was 81 mph. (63.0 mph bat speed average). (18.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide crouched stance with a rhythmic load, then uses a short controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, uses a short an inside-out swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Raw while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 73 mph; has a clean exchange, smooth quick feet, and soft hands. Fielded the ball out front with average movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Clocked a time of 8.19 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a loose clean arm action with quick arm speed. Stretch only feel type pitcher who uses easy effort. Has in line shoulder and strong low balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-77 mph; shows both sides of the plate control with straight movement. (Max spin 1839; Avg 1623). Had glove side control and slurvey early action on his 1/7 curveball (63-66). (Max spin 1943; Avg 1813). Shows fading swing and miss action and arm side command on his changeup (72-73).  Continues to improve off the mound.

Started in an athletic stance with a rhythmic load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick explosive, uses a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. During his round he produced loud contact and found lots of barrels. Up the middle approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 72 mph; has athletic feet, a clean exchange, and next level hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used uninterrupted slot with a short quick arm action. Advanced on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a very quick arm action while showing some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses high effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands hard with a clean finish.  (Max spin 1996; Avg 1724).

Stretch only tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands open with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 77-79 mph; showed sinking action and command down in the zone both sides of the plate. (Max spin 2008; Avg 1652). His 1/7 curveball (63-66) shows glove side command and early slurvey action. (Max spin 2205; Avg 2069). Showed arm side control and fading swing and miss action on his changeup (71-73). Loves his craft, has been groomed well.

Stretch only up-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-80 mph; has late sinking action and arm side control. (Max spin 1891; Avg 1595). Throws a 1/7 curveball (65-69) that shows slurvey action and glove side command. (Max spin 2073; Avg 2009). Had arm side command and fading swing and miss action on his changeup (72-73).  Took a huge step forward this winter, continuing to move upward.

Lucus Hoadley: RHP/1B, (2024) Morgan, CT. 5-foot-10, 160-pound solid athletic frame. Projectable and capable in the box, Hoadley had a max exit velocity of 80 mph. (62.0 mph bat speed average). (18.5 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a small stride. Bat speed was developing, showed a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, displayed a velocity of 69 mph; has developing soft hands, a clean exchange, and developing consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Had consistent accuracy to the base and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.0. Capable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a clean arm action while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Displays in line shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 75-76 mph; shows running action and command arm side around the zone. (Max spin 1762; Avg 1656). Had sweeping action and glove side around the zone command on his curveball (66-68). (Max spin 2009; Avg 1778). 

5-foot-10, 160-pound, solid, strong, durable pitchers frame. A right-handed pitcher, working from the set position, uses an athletic lift, with coil to it, stride is inline, front foot opens at times. The arm action has average length to it, clean and free, working through a high 3/4 slot. The fastball was located in the bottom part of the zone, worked up to 77 mph, with more in there as he continues to build arm strength and smoothing out the delivery. Mixed in a slower, bigger breaking ball at 61 mph, will need to throw this pitch harder. Showed feel for the changeup in warm ups. More in the tank, trending in the correct direction. 

5-foot-9, 170-pound athletic solid build. Projectable on the mound, used a high¾ arm angle and a short loose arm action while showing good arm speed. Stretch only up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with in line shoulders. Lands open with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 74-76 mph; showed control in the zone and sinking action. (Max spin 1947; Avg 1846). His 1/7 curveball (60-61) has glove side command and early slurvey action. (Max spin 1782; Avg 1712). His changeup (70-71) had fading action and arm side control.
