Second PBR event for Woods and was real impressive. The frame is strong and very durable for a catcher, is very flexible, athletic and has natural strength to him. At the plate, the hands and wrists are strong. The stance is even and balanced and hands set at shoulder height. Uses a knee buckle for timing, needs to keep the barrel in the zone longer, rolls it early at times, but is an easy fix with practice and coaching. Shows plus pop to the pull side, the tee exit velocity was 80 mph and his 60-yard dash time was 7.19. Behind the dish, showed well again, has a plus arm with easy carry to it. The velocity on throws were was 75 mph. Times to second were 1.94-1.98, feet and transfer were very quick. The setup is balanced, low to the ground, hands are strong and can stick a pitch. Definite follow for me, will only continue to get better, has the athletic ability.

At 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, the frame is athletic, strong and has plenty of room to put added weight on. The lower half and hands are very strong. The setup behind the dish is balanced as he gets low to the ground when receiving. The hands could get softer when receiving, along with getting behind the ball. The transfer and feet work real well together, gets the ball into throwing position quick and the arm path is short to release. Needs to close up front side a little more and stay through release and not recoil. Reps and hard work can clean this up quickly. Times to second were 2.0-2.04, and velocity was 71 on the gun. At the plate, he hits from the right side, stance is balanced and even, hands are set low. The path is level buts gets out and around it and gets it out front early, needs to let it travel. Has a little backside collapse, the tee exit velocity was 80. Strength is above average, small minor adjustments, someone to follow.
