5-foot-10, 180-pound, average athletic frame. Rounded shoulders good strength for his age. A right-handed hitter, front foot starts slightly open, wider than shoulder width. The hands are loose with pre-pitch movement to them, get loaded back, front foot gets down early. The swing path is level, finishes at the shoulders with two hands, could stay balanced more on the finish. The approach is more line drive from middle to pull side, tee exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph. Defensively, has an athletic setup behind the plate, slight side saddled. The hands are soft on the catch. The arm was clocked at 65 mph with a pop time of 2.25. From shortstop, arm velocity reached 74 mph, working smoothly from a natural slot. The hands, flow and actions are clean fielding the baseball. Showed quick feet and a clean backhand play. Off the mound, delivery is repeatable, hands start and stay high, lift is athletic and direction is inline to the plate. The arm action is clean, average length on the backside, working out of a higher slot, pitches down hill, The 4-seam fastball is the top pitch, clocked at 74 mph, gets through catcher. The breaking pitch was clocked at 71 mph, more slider, side spin to it. The changeup is still a work in progress. Projects for me more as a position player, third base may where he ends up long term.

A right-handed hitting third baseman and catcher, showed well on both sides of the field during this workout. At the plate, hands are held slightly higher, back elbow extended outward, with bat in more of a flat position. The hands have separation from the body, uses a controlled kick, gains ground with stride foot, leaks slightly open, could stay closed longer with it. The swing is flat through the zone, barrel has life and whip to it, tee exit velocity was good at 62 mph, has much more in there as he physically matures. The swing is slightly longer in the beginning part of the swing, could shorten it a bit. Ran a 4.59 30 yard-dash. Defensively, has a wide set up behind the plate, feet work well, right foot replaces left, gets closed up and inline with target. The arm action is short and clean, throws from his ear, clocked at 64 mph, with a pop time of 2.60-.2.66. The hands look to be soft when fielding, feet move throughout, arm had easy carry on throws. The arm was clocked at 63 mph, finishes across, could get more extension out front on release. Good looking young player, solid on both sides.
