At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds is big and strong, needs to get in better shape but the body is strong and shows athletic ability. As a right-handed pitcher, the leg raise is easy but needs to get all the way to top, needs to stay back, tends to rush to the plate. The direction is across his body, crossfire's to the plate. The arm action is really good, clean, free and easy. The ball has late life and jumps when it gets to the plate. The fastball is 77-78, with good sinking action. The curveball has the proper spin and break to it, thrown a bit slow at 64-65, tends to slow down on it to get it in the one. This has the makings of a plus pitch. Mechanically has some adjustments but all easily fixable. At the plate, hits from the right side, bat speed is good, tee exit velocity was 84. Starts with a wide open stance, pulls off at times, needs to stay on the ball more and keep the barrel in the zone longer. I like him off the bump, with continue work on mechanics, will be someone to follow.
