Future Games

5-foot-10, average athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, shows to have strength throughout. A right-handed pitcher, delivery is more combination of set and wind up, comes and then steps to the side, it's fast paced, works quick throughout. The leg raise has good height, gets to a solid gather, direction is inline gets down the mound, with good extension on release of the baseball. The arm is short and clean on the back side, it's hidden behind his frame, the arm works out if a ¾ to high ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 80-82 mph, have seen it a tick better at times. Located it to glove side, and was down in the zone. The breaking ball is his best pitch, clocked at 72-74 mph, has depth and tilt to it, locked up multiple hitters in his outing with it. Showed a change in warmups at 76-77 mph, with and action to it. Times to the plate were at 1.35. Good follow, can really spin the breaking ball.

7/25/2017

5-foot-11, 185 -pound outfielder and right-handed pitcher. Defensively, used an athletic and aggressive approach to the ball in the outfield. Corner outfield, and would be a reliable one. Threw 81 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. Ran a 4.52 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 89 mph. Starts with his feet wide, uses a big lift and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The bat speed is above average. Slight lift in the path, needs to flatten in out and spread the love around the field. On the mound, he is a good one. Arm works out of a slightly above 34/ slot. The delivery is repeated, pulls glove across the hitters face and comes at the hitter aggressively. The feet are online, could improve the tracking of the front shoulder to foot strike. The fastball sat 82-84 mph with arm side run to it. Throws two different spin pitches, a big breaking ball, sat 66-68 mph, needs more fastball hand speed to it. The slider is a plus pitch and should get him paid in college, only 71-73 now but the shape is ideal and eventually they will know its coming and they still won’t hit it.  The changeup is a 72-73 with action to it. Division 1 prospect on the bump for me. No brainer slider guy.
Tee Exit Velocity- 89 mph
OF Velocity- 81 mph

6/20/17

5-foot-11, 180-pound, strong athletic frame, a well proportioned athlete, lower half has very good strength to it. Due to straining his back in the workout phase, wasn't able to compete in the game. A right-handed hitter, the stance is wider than shoulder width, hands are loose and held just above shoulder height. For timing uses a small direct stride. The swing path is level to up and finishes with one hand. The approach is more line drive, looks to work to the pull side. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph, shows to have strength in his hands. Times down the line were at 4.80, showed an athletic kick. Defensively, showed a strong clean arm from the outfield. The arm path is longer on the backside, works out of a higher slot, has good strength to it clocked at 79 mph. Throws were on line, gave the fielder something to handle. Projects as more of a pitcher, wasn't able to pitch in game play. Will be attending the Future Games as a pitcher.

Home - First: 4.80

Exit Velocity: 86 mph

Arm Velocity: 79 mph

3/8/17

5-foot-11, 175-pound, strong, thick athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, shoulders are squared off, the lower half is strong, has a durable pitchers body. A right-handed pitcher, the delivery is quick tempoed, hands start and stay at the chest. The leg raise has average height, gets to a good gathered position. The arm action is short, clean on the back side, arm works out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 80-84 mph, located 4 seamer to glove side, pounded it for good low strikes, throws a heavy fastball. The breaking ball is an above average pitch, closer to 12/6 break and rotation, clocked at 68-70 mph, was thrown for strikes. The changeup comes out of the same slot as fastball, has down action to arm side, clocked at 77-78 mph. Times to the plate were at 1.31-1.46, works quickly in between pitches. I love the aggressiveness on the mound, attacks, has moxie to him. Received an invitation to the future games for 2017.

8/5/16- Future Game Report

5-foot-11, 165-pound average athletic frame, shoulders are square, body is solid. A right-handed hitter, the stance is even, wide and balanced throughout the swing. The hands are loose at shoulder height, the swing is level to up and he finishes with two hands. The tee exit velocity was 78 mph, ran a 7.31 60 yard dash and was 4.5 down the line on a ground ball. In game performance got better throughout event, went 3 for 7 with a walk. At times fights the finish, goes backwards slightly to create power, could stay through it a little more. Defensively, plays up the middle, the arm is his best tool on this side of the field, clocked at 81 mph, has some max effort in there. The hands are soft, fields out front and keeps feet moving to target. Mechanically, does everything well, could look to smooth actions a bit. A right-handed pitcher as well, didn't get a chance to throw, is a three pitch pitcher, attacks and pounds zone. The fastball is in low-80’s, with a good breaking ball, that has downward break. A two-way guy at current moment, time will tell which way he goes.

7/12/16
5-foot-10, 165-pound average athletic frame, shoulders are wide and strong, has room to still fill out and is put together well. Only a 2019, had a very impressive workout. A right-handed pitcher, the delivery is simple, compact and repeatable. The hands work in sync with leg raise which is under control and gets to a good gather. The arm action is short and quick on the backside. The ball comes out of a high ¾ slot, pitches downhill and pounded it for strikes to both sides. The fastball was clocked at 79-83 mph, its straight, needs to get some movement, but has plenty of time to work on that. The breaking ball has 12/6 break, needs to be thrown harder but the spin is there for this to be an out pitch. Clocked at 65-67 mph. The changeup has good feel, was clocked at 75-77 mph and he sold it well with good arm speed. Offensively, hits from the right side, the stance is wide and hands are set at shoulder height. The separation is early, stride is minimal. The path is level to and through the zone has a line drive approach. The tee exit velocity was 78 mph and ran a 4.68 down the line. Defensively, has good prep steps and footwork in attacking the ball. Works from the ground up, feet and hands work well in transfer. The arm is good, was clocked at 80 mph across the diamond.  Big follow for me, will take part in the Future Games in 2016.
