Jack Mcpherson: OF/2B, (2025) Valley Regional, CT. 5-foot-8, 155-pound lean athletic frame. Athletic raw during batting practice, Mcpherson recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. (61.6 mph bat speed average). (20.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide crouched stance with a tight compact load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was developing, used a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side line drive approach. Above average from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 68 mph; had athletic quick footwork, a twitchy exchange, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot and a short loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a 60 time of 7.56 at the event.
