Jack Durland: SS/2B, (2023) out of Trumbull, CT. is an athletic 5-foot-9, 165-pound middle infield prospect. At the plate, Durland recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph with a (62.3 mph bat speed average) and (19.0 mph hand speed average). Durland hits out of a balanced, athletic stance with a smooth load. A short stride triggers a simple, flat swing that showcases a gap to gap approach. In the infield, Durland was up to 73 mph on his throws across the diamond, while showing he has a clean exchange, consistent, smooth feet, and sure hands. He also recorded a 60 time of 7.07 at the event.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.07
2/29/20
5-foot-7, 135-pound, smaller thin athletic frame. Showing wiry strength to his frame. One of the better players at this event, showing well on both sides of the field. At the plate, simple balanced setup, feet even at shoulder width, hands are loose and relaxed set higher than shoulder height. The swing is down to level, with a line drive approach to the middle to pull side. The hands get extended just so slightly, could stay inside them a tick longer. The barrel has life and whip out front on contact, recorded a tee exit velocity of 73 mph, with a ton more in there as he adds strength. Defensively, shows solid actions and flow, fields out front, soft hands, working low to the ground. The arm action is clean, clocked 65 mph, working from a natural 3/4 slot. The feel on starts and turns are advanced for his age. Projects out for me as a slick fielding second baseman at the next level.
