A right-handed hitting outfielder. The top tool is his overall athleticism, speed and ability to drive the baseball to all fields. The swing has easy effort to it, level across the chest, keeps the barrel in the zone.  Defensively, looks to be able to track balls with ease in the gaps, a long strider, covers a good amount of ground. The arm has average length on the back, works out of a natural slot with average strength. Runs the bases extremely well and is aggressive. Projects for me as a corner outfielder at the college level, should have a chance to be a draft guy at some point.

2020 DRAFT: Earned 1st-Team Freshman All-America honors after hitting .372/.459/.647 with 10 HRs last spring, and he followed it up with a strong summer for Newport (NECBL), hitting .306/.340/.500 with five homers and 17 stolen bases, as well as a strong four weeks of the 2020 season; .332/.452/.500. A Connecticut native, Haskin always stood out for his plus to plus-plus speed in high school, and he's always controlled the zone and showed an average arm in center field. But he exceeded the expectations of Northeast scouts in his first year at Tulane, particularly with his extra-base hit production. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder makes an unorthodox move towards the baseball with some head movement but rarely gets off balanced or fooled. He also has some length in his righ-thanded swing, which can get uphill — but he makes it work thanks to his knack for finding the barrel, above average bat speed and very few empty swings (11% career K rate). His speed (4.10 H-1B) and arm strength, combined with above average defensive instincts, give him a legitimate center field profile. And, his emerging power gives him a chance to be one of the top five-tool prospects in the 2020 draft. Haskin will also benefit with strong statistical analytics and is likely to go in the top 2-3 rounds and is a another potential Dodger candidate with his strong Hit Ability and Plate Discipline skills.

2/15/20: Rangy, athletic outfielder with room to add strength. Plus runner with above average defensive instincts in the outfield. Tracked down a sure triple in deep left-centerfield and ranges well to both gaps- should comfrotably stick in centerfield. Arm is pretty average but plenty to play in cf. Polished bat. Makes an unorthodoxed move towards the baseball with some head movement but rarely gets off balanced or fooled. On the day, saw 7 strikes. Singled, Grounded out to short, drove a sac fly to deep RF, two pull side foul balls in advantage counts, fouled one pitch straight back and took a located 3-0 pitch. Showed true feel for the strike zone. Never offered at a ball with quality, balanced takes. No empty swings every time the bat left his shoulder it touched the baseball. Quality contact on all 3 balls put in play. Showed speed as he ran a 4.16 on a groundball. Flashed above average bat speed and strength on a line drive driven to deep RF for a sac fly. Would like to see speed play more on the bases. Role 55 Solid Everyday Big Leaguer.  (W Jones)

11/10/19: Athletic sophomore with a 6-foot-2, 198-pound frame and a strong, lean build. First-Team Freshmen All-American selection in 2019, finished the year hitting .372 with 19 doubles, 10 home runs, and 52 RBI. Corner outfielder with solid range and an average, accurate arm. Plus athlete, plus runner showed a 4.19 home-to-first time and several 4.4 turns. Right-handed hitter hits from a tall setup, loading into a squatted, wide hitting position with a longer stride step, lands in a strong position, hits against a strong front side generating strength at contact and solid bat speed. Hands work close to the body, for a more compact path, can get a little rotational at times but generated quality contact with advanced hand-eye and bat to ball skills. Had three hits on the day going 3-for-7 with a sac fly and a double late in the contest. (Sofio)
